Information for Non-Degree Students

Non-degree (non-matriculated) students are those who are taking courses in The Undergraduate Studies but who are not pursuing the Bachelor of Arts degree in The Weekend College. Non-degree students take courses for a variety of reasons:

• to meet the requirements of another Antioch University McGregor program, such as the Professional Preparation Program for Teacher Certification;
• to accumulate credits to qualify for admission as a degree-seeking Undergraduate Studies student;
• to obtain credits for transfer to another college; or
• for personal/professional growth and development.

In order to attend a course on a regular basis, a student must be properly enrolled either as a regular (degree-seeking) student or as a non-degree student. Non-matriculated students are expected to meet all the attendance and academic requirement of the class. There is no "auditor" status in The Undergraduate Studies. All enrolled students are eligible for credit. Visitors or prospective students may attend a single class with the permission both of the instructor and the students enrolled in the course.

Graduates of the Undergraduate Studies may audit classes but must meet the same standards as the non-matriculating student.

Credits can be transferred to The Undergraduate Studies from a variety of sources: another university or college; prior experiential learning; and examinations and other sources.
