Low- Residency- Distance Model

In order to accommodate the needs of our adult students, we offer a flexible degree program with the following features:

These two residencies take place in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The 1st residency takes place during spring and fall quarters, and the 2nd residency takes place during the winter and summer quarters.
  • Guidance from the Antioch McGregor faculty advisor to design an individualized curriculum.
  • A course catalogue with on-line courses.
  • The opportunity for self-directed, self-paced learning.
  • Courses designed to fit your learning preferences
  • On-line learning communities with faculty and students.
  • Capstone learning options (thesis or project).
  • 45 quarter credit master of arts degree.

Narrative Evaluation

Antioch University is committed to a narrative evaluation process for assessing student learning. Instructors submit narrative evaluations of student work instead of providing letter grades. In addition, ILPS program students reflect on their own learning by writing narrative self-evaluations.

QuoteI was so lucky to have found a program that sees the dignity of its students' commitments to family and career, as well as their educational goals. Designing my own master's was hard work, but well worth the effort. My experience at McGregor showed me how individualized learning is one of the best and most personal approaches to education. I am now prepared for the next step in my life, studying the history of women and religion at the doctoral level.Quote
