McGregor celebrated its largest graduating class at
commencement at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 18 at the Benjamin
and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in
downtown Dayton. |

Antioch McGregor enjoyed an
overflowing crowd for the commencement ceremony. More
than 270 students joined the prestigious ranks of Antioch
alumni around the world. Graduates accepted bachelors
and masters degrees as well as post graduate Ohio Principle
Licensure credentials.

“We are
excited to be graduating our largest class ever,” said
Barbara Gellman-Danley, Antioch University McGregor
President. “This ceremony is proof of the growth
and accomplishment of Antioch University McGregor
thanks to our wonderful faculty, staff, students
and terrific support from our alumni, the local community
and our trustees” (see speech).

Antioch McGregor
was honored to welcome Dr.
Everette Freeman, 1972 Antioch
alumnus, as the ceremony’s keynote speaker. Freeman
received a B.S. in Sociology/Economics from Antioch
and went on to earn a masters degree in Labor and Industrial
Relations from the University of Illinois and a doctorate
in Educational Foundations from Rutgers University.
Prior to becoming Sr. Vice President and Provost at
the University of Indianapolis in 2001, Freeman was
the Executive Assistant to the President and interim
Vice President for University Relations and Development
at Tennessee State.
