Biographical Information
While training in elementary education
at Miami University, Dr. Sharif was awarded a National Science
Foundation Grant to study science education at Purdue University.
Prior to joining the faculty at Antioch University McGregor,
Dr. Sharif taught for 28 years in the public schools including
math and science in grades 7 and 8; language arts/reading,
science, math, social studies and health in grades 4-6;
enrichment classes in grades K-6, as well as serving as
a school library/media specialist for grades K-6. Dr. Sharif has
always taken an interest in curriculum and served on the
district wide curriculum council for many years as well
as co-authoring courses of study.
Dr. Sharif has held a variety of offices in
the school district's educational association and has worked
throughout his tenure in public education to improve the
working conditions and standards of the teaching profession.
Since joining the faculty at Antioch University McGregor,
Dr. Sharif has been actively involved in evaluation of programs
as well as redesigning modules for Teacher Education.
