Current Research

As an independent scholar, Dr. McGuigan has two research projects underway:

• In collaboration with Dr. Robert Kegan at Harvard University, Dr. Vern Redekop at St Paul’s University in Ottawa and Dr. Nancy Popp, Dr. McGuigan has developed a research project that focuses on the development, presentation and evaluation of an innovative new transformational leadership curriculum designed to facilitate the growth of consciousness and meaning making of those who lead in challenging and complex conflicts.

• Along with Dr. Nancy Popp, Dr. McGuigan is researching the stage of development and meaning making or adults immersed in the divorcing process. The focus of this research is to study the development of mediator intervention techniques directed at disputants with differing stages of adult growth and development.
