Biographical Information
Ken has been a practitioner in the Conflict Resolution Field for fifteen years. He has served as a mediator, facilitator, trainer and program development consultant. Serving as a mediator, Ken has participated in over 1500 cases involving families, businesses, victim and offenders and non-profit organizations. Training in conflict resolution skills and diversity/ discrimination for professionals and community members has been a primary focus of his work for over a decade. As a program development consultant he has coached communities and court systems in best practices and sustainability planning.
Ken has a commitment to teaching and modeling the principles of reflective practice. He was first introduced to reflective practice through the teachings of Michael Lang, founding Chair of the Antioch-McGregor M.A. degree program in Conflict Resolution. Mediation practice, for Ken, is built on the fundamental premise that persons in a conflict deserve and have the innate capability to actively participate in defining their conflict and participating in the crafting of a resolution or determination of their future.
In addition to being an adjunct faculty member for the Conflict Resolution Graduate Program at Antioch University McGregor, Ken serves as an instructor for University of California at Davis.
