The residencies are held on the Antioch campus in Yellow Springs, Ohio and are designed as one component of the integrated coursework. These sessions are integral to the development of the learning community which helps to sustain the student during the at-home portion of the academic program.
Students prepare for the residential sessions with study and assignments conducted at home, and then join their cohort for a six-day residential session in Yellow Springs. These sessions are conducted in a seminar format that includes experiential and didactic components, building theoretical foundations and strengthening practitioner skills. The faculty for these sessions include the Antioch faculty as well as other distinguished practitioners, researchers, and theorists in the field. Students follow the first residency with online coursework that includes readings, assignments, and discussion, allowing completion of the coursework at home.
Residency occurs in fall and spring quarters.
