Pamela is a practicing International Mediator and Alternative

Business Bureau since 1998. She contributes to both Mediate.com (in their Health care section) and Mediate.calm.
Based on her master’s thesis, Pamela published
an article at mediate.com titled: I Found a Lump, Now What? She also published
a poster titled In Honor of Breast Cancer. These
two efforts offer creative ways to resolve conflict with breast cancer patients.
Pamela is continuing this work in partnership with Debra Gerardi, President
and CEO of Health Care Mediations, Inc. by developing a model that addresses
conflict associated with breast cancer. In March 2004, Pamela will be attending
the first ever International Conference on Creative Conflict Management
in Healthcare in Vancouver where she will share her research with attendees.
According to Pam, “The MA program in Conflict
Resolution at Antioch supported my efforts to discover creative ways to
resolve disputes. By encouraging my individuality and supporting me in
pursuing my chosen area of interest, they provided the foundation for
the creation of new theory that contributes to growth in the field.”
“The program’s emphasis on (i) theory
and practice, (ii) curriculum focused on negotiation, mediation, and identity,
and (iii) the healthy interaction I experienced with cohort members, faculty
and professionals in the field left me well prepared to face the challenges
of a career in Conflict Resolution.”
“I have obtained so much more than an education.
The friendships and memories will truly last a lifetime.”
