Ohio —Antioch University McGregor's
third annual Executive Spelling Bee took place
on Tuesday, May 18 and proved to be a great success.
Over 150 people were in attendance at The Loft
Theatre as 20 teams engaged in a serious battle
of wits.
The Executive Spelling Bee
is a fundraiser that attracts support from businesses
around the Miami Valley. Support from these businesses
helped Antioch University McGregor reach their
goal of raising $25,000 for Scholarship and Research
Programs which include professional development
for faculty as well as new program development.
Antioch University McGregor
is proud to announce that the winner of this year's
Executive Spelling Bee is The
Entrepreneurs Center,
sponsored by Reynolds & Reynolds.
Team members included Karen Fisher, Hollandays
Publishing; Mike McCloskey, Studio 361 and Lori
Effinger, United Human Resources & Skilled Trades. The team
won by correctly spelling the word “antitussive”.
Co-hosts for this year's Spelling
Bee were Phil Parker, president of The Dayton
Area Chamber of Commerce, and Heather
Martin, publisher of The
Dayton Business Journal.
Antioch University McGregor,
